Nine Months Writing in Mexico

I had the wonderful pleasure of leaving NYC after over 12 years to live in a small apartment a half a block from the Pacific Ocean and work on my book. I wasn't sure how long I would stay but it ended up being a whole nine month school year.

I made wonderful friends in Ensenada, had a good number of trips two hours north to my hometown of San Diego, enjoyed the constant auditory and visual presence of my long lost friend - the Pacific Ocean, and most significantly wrote over 600 pages of my now vast and unorganized and unedited first book -- a new theology of love as told through story -- to be titled, The Trainee. John and Juan, Ovador and Ivonne the major characters in the book are my new constant companions. From 1949 to 2037, from America South to America North, from China to the very outer edges of our expanding universe the story of what love is unfolds...

ps. a new web presence will accompany the book's release - here in the workshop it's the sound of hammers and the flowering bursts of bright sparks from the welders corner...
